Red Cross Blood Drive at Moose Lodge

Monday was my second attempt at giving blood and my hemoglobin was high enough at 13.3 mg/DL to donate. It took just about 5 minutes to fill the bag and another minute to fill the 6 vials for testing.

The Moose Lodge had a few other people there and one donor was joking that the playlist of classic rock and country wasn’t relaxing. He suggested Brian Eno which got no recognition from the nurses. They were wrapping up a long day and I was probably one of their last donors before closing.

A Gaze of Racoons

The other photos of a young deer and squirrels were unsurprising, but I recoiled at the swarm of five raccoons in the yard at night. I later found out that they are called a gaze of raccoons. They have not been a nuisance yet.
