Slow news Tuesday just got slower. Pumphouse Road construction was scheduled today but delayed due to inclement weather. But this much is true: something happened somewhere today, but not here.
Food Truck Round-Up 2020
Food trucks are ascendant in 2020 after clearing some legal hurdles in the last few years. Venues such as the Northern Wisconsin State Fair, Leinie Lodge, River Bend Winery, Autumn Harvest Winery, and the CVCA Heyde Center for the Arts all had regular food trucks this summer. This photo gallery features a few that I spotted in the wild. Many more can be found at Volume One’s Listing. For current events, check out Food Truck Sunday at Riverbend Winery featuring the Magnolia Cafe from 11-4:30 and the Fair Food Shindig and Car Show on September 10-13 at the Fairgrounds.

Off of Business 29, River Bend Winery was still a popular place on a warm Saturday in September. Jerk Chicken and other foods were offered by Island Vibe food truck.

Garage Sales Advertised for Holiday Weekend

The Labor Day Weekend may be the last hurrah for thrift sales this season. They taper off quickly in the fall and winter generally brings only the occasional estate sale or auction.

Weekly Book Sale & New Library Hours

Every Thursday in September, the Chippewa Falls Public Library is planning on staging mini sales outside and after Labor Day, the library lobby will be open for 10 people Mon-Sat with Curbside pickup Mon-Fri by appointment.

Summer Activities Winding Down

Fall-like weather moved in the last few days and the last of some summer activities are happening this week.
